However, you do want to make sure your units have no action points left and/or are not clumped up, otherwise the bard can charm them and have them attack immediately. Just make sure to kill that bard in your next turn, then the charm fades and your unit can move as normal. ![]() If the enemy has a bard, it's okay to let that bard use its charm ability. The spider is easy to kill, but its web ability can really ruin your day. Be sure that those units cannot use those abilities, or that you can counter them.įor example: if you're exploring a ruin and the enemy has a baby spider unit, you want to kill that one first using spells or ranged attacks. The basics aren't very hard, but actually using them to win battles without taking losses can be.īefore a battle starts, examine all enemy units and their special abilities (if need be) and decide which are the biggest threats. The battles can be a bit tricky to get your head around, and it certainly helps to play a tougher faction (Humans, Orcs, Dwarfs) than a squishier one (goblins, Tigrans) to start with.
